The finale of Survivor All Stars airs tonight and we already know that it’s going to be one for the history books, regardless of who wins.

That’s all thanks to the current coronavirus pandemic which has stopped the show’s host Jonathan LaPaglia from hosting the finale as he lives over in the US.

Instead, The Bachelor franchise host Osher Gunsberg, who also happens to be a Survivor super fan, will fill his shoes.

Ahead of the finale tonight, Jonathan joined the Kyle and Jackie O show over the phone from the US and he had a little bit of shade for Osher, joking that he better not be trying to steal his job!

“You’ve got to be worried ‘coz Osher Gunsberg already hosts about 40 shows on Channel 10. Do you think he’s after 41 now with this or do you think you’re safe?” Kyle asked.

“No I think he’s gunning for my job,” Jonathan joked. “I think he’s trying to take over every hosting gig on Channel 10. He’s trying to improve his odds of winning a Logie.”

Just imagine if Osher did end up hosting Survivor for real. Instead of votes we’d be handing out roses at tribal council!

Of course, Jackie being a super fan herself, was quick to say that there’s no way anyone could replace Jonathan as the host.

And thankfully, he will participate in some fashion at the finale tonight as he is set to join live via video link.

Jonathan also said that the important role of announcing the winner of Survivor all stars will remain in his hands.

“I will be announcing who the winner is,” Jonathan revealed. “And I’m going to try and convince Osher not to try and, you know, introduce roses into the reunion show.”

Oh the shade continues!
