Gwyneth Paltrow decided to open up about her past relationships in an interview with Howard Stern. What was initially a conversation promoting her latest film ‘Mortdecai’ quickly turned into a trip down memory lane, except this time we got all the dirt!

When talking about Brad Pitt, who she met on the set of ‘Seven’ in 1995 and dated for almost 3 years, she admits she was madly in love with him. She even had her parents permission on their engagement!

“He was so gorgeous and sweet. I mean, he was Brad Pitt…”

But looking back she thinks she was way too young for it to have gone anywhere.

“I was such a kid, I was 22 when we met. It’s taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can’t make that decision when you’re 22 years old… I wasn’t ready, and he was too good for me…. I didn’t know what I was doing.”

But when talking about Affleck it seems she took a different tone…

“He was not in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend… When you’re a kid, you tend to be more shallow and you’re also immature, so you think that being with a good looking person validates yourself in some kind of way.

She also added that her parents also made it clear they weren’t convinced Affleck was the guy for her.

“They loved him, but they were OK with us not being together.”

Hmmm… We wonder how the current Mrs Affleck and Mrs Pitt feels about these recent statements.
