After almost 14 years of condemning Borat for its depictions of Kazakhstan, the country has now adopted his famous catchphrase in their latest tourism campaign.
The Kazakh tourism board now acknowledges that Kazakhstan is indeed a ‘very nice’ place to visit.
There is a series of four videos that showcase the scenery and culture of the country, all ending with slightly different versions of ‘Very Nice!’
According to CNN Travel “The campaign is intended to “celebrate Kazakhstan and show fans of the ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm’ around the world why they should come visit this incredible country.”
And honestly, it does! I’m convinced and it shows the nation has a great sense of humour.
