Well if there’s one good thing that self-isolation has brought Hollywood actor Tom Hanks it’s a lesson in how to properly spread your vegemite.
Yep, we can all now sleep soundly at night knowing that Hanks got the message and now knows the correct vegemite to toast ratio.
The 63-year-old actor posted an update his condition after testing positive to coronavirus last week, letting us all know the good news.
“Hey folks. Good News: One week after testing positive, in self-isolation, the symptoms are much the same. No fever but the blahs.”
Hanks said he’s been passing the time by folding the laundry, doing the dishes, napping, losing continuously to his wife in games on Fin Rummy and of course brushing up on his vegemite knowledge.
“My wife @ritawilson has won 6 straight hands of Gin Rummy and leads by 201 points. But I have learned not to spread my Vegemite so thick.’
Australia is proud of you Tom. So, so proud.
In case you missed it, Tom and his wife Rita tested positive to coronavirus while in Australia to film his Elvis biopic, which has since been put on hold.
While updating his followers on how he was doing, Tom posted a picture of his Aussie snack, which immediately went viral for all the wrong reasons. Honestly it was distressing to look at the way he’d spread his vegemite like it was Nutella or something…
But thankfully Tom has since learned, lots of butter, thin layer of vegemite. That’s all you need!
The good news come as Tom and Rita have both been released from hospital but are continuing their own self-isolation.
