A month after former Home & Away star Tessa James celebrated the end of her chemotherapy treatment, the actress has shared a photo of her and fellow cancer survivor Sally Obermeder.
Calling Sally an ‘amazing inspiring woman’, the pair posed for the snap on Instagram with Tessa looking bright eyed and fresh faced.
Obermeder, who hosts The Daily Edition, was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant in 2011 and has since written a book where she talks about her own battle.
The photo is one of just a few shared from 23-year-old James who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in September.
Last month she shared a photo of her family celebrating as she finished up chemotherapy.
According to the Leukaemia Foundation around 550 people are diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma in Australia each year.
While it can occur at any age, it is most common in adolescents and young adults.
Most famously, Delta Goodrem was also diagnosed with Hodgkin’s at the age of 18.
