In the world of boxing, they don’t come much more impressive than Floyd Mayweather. The 38-year-old has never been beaten in the ring, and this weekend he’s up against Filipino fighter, Manny Pacquiao. If he wins, it will be his 47th straight victory.
If he loses, it will be his first loss ever – and he could. Impressively, Pacquiao agreed to a very specific set of terms set by Mayweather before agreeing to take part in the fight, including the venue (MGM Grand), the date and a 60/40 split of the money – which shows confidence.
This fight is years in the making, after excrutiating conversations over the past decade where management failed to negotiate terms that both fighters were happy with.
So, how will the famously lavish and unapologetic Mayweather spend his cut of the $160 million, win or lose? Well, if how he spends his estimated net worth of $280 million is anything to go by, it’s going to include cars, specifically Ferraris, a private jet and maybe a couple of million worth of watches and jewellery,
It has to be mentioned, the LOSER of this fight still walks away with $100 million!
P.s. It’s well worth following Floyd Mayweather on Instagram, often he’ll post a photo of him with money and ask his fans to caption it. It’s been said in the past that he’ll gift the person with the best caption the money featured in the photo.
