Christina Grimmie fans have been left outraged after their beloved star was noticeably missing from a segment that paid tribute to gun violence.
Though nominated for Choice Music Web Star, Christina was noticeably missing from a tribute let by Jessica Alba on gun violence, which featured family members from the Newtown and Dallas shootings, as well as Alton Sterling’s son.
Christina, who was shot fatally by a fan after a show in Orlando in June, was omitted from the tribute, and fans were quick to call it on Twitter.
There was also uproar against the show for its use of Christina’s name and Twitter handle to promote the award show weeks before the broadcast.

The Teen Choice Awards Twitter account posted messages including this one, which asked fans to “retweet in honor of her memory” for the Choice Music Web Star award.
Fans have accused the awards show of using Christina’s name to attract views, before leaving her out of the tribute.
#TeenChoice used Christina Grimmie’s death to get views for their award show yet they didnt mention her once. She deserves better than that.

I’m extremely disappointed by the fact that the TCA’s didn’t honor Christina Grimmie in any way. RIP Angel.

#TeenChoice so you use Christina Grimmie to get views but you don’t say a freaking thing about her?? Disgusting. @TeenChoiceFOX

Disappointed that @TeenChoiceFOX didn’t even announce who won #ChoiceMusicWebStar. Why have the award up if you’re not going to announce it?
