A new book suggests that no one should be directly sitting on the toilet to do a poo, and should instead be squatting.

Sitting on the toilet is charmingly described as a “garden hose with a kink in it”, and can lead to health problems, like piles.

Squatting allows the poo to slide out in a much healthier way, and doesn’t put pressure on our butts.

The book, Charming Bowels by Giulia Enders, has sold hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide.
