There’s been editing fail after editing fail on Married At First Sight this week, but this one takes the cake.

MAFS fans were quick to notice that Heidi Latcham was reading from a script during her intimate chat with ‘husband’ Mike Gunner.

While we were under the impression that the show is heavily manipulated, we didn’t realise the participants read from legitimate scripts.

“I just feel in relationships we speak different languages. You speak one language,” she said. “We all have different love languages. We receive and we show love in different ways. So you are showing me love you think you’re showing me, but I can’t feel it.”

The heart-to-heart triggered some emotion in the couple, but we couldn’t help but notice Heidi reading a script in the reflection of Mike’s sunglasses.

She continued: “Whereas I’m showing you love in a way, and you’re going, ‘Oh what do you mean?’ It’s like we’ve got to learn each other’s love language.

“We all have different love languages. We receive and we show love in different ways. So you are showing me love you think you’re showing me, but I can’t feel it.”

While many assumed this was a script, others claim that Heidi was just reading the self-help book that she referenced during the conversation.

“Could be a script, could be a book, or it could be a screen to light her face better. Good eyes though to pick that one up,” one viewer commented. “If they show a face that isn’t speaking the words, chances are it was pieced in afterwards.”
