Daryl Braithwaite has been forced to cancel his upcoming shows after his sudden admission to hospital.

The 68-year-old was due to perform at the Australian Open last night be he revealed he was pulling out via Facebook.

The Horses singer, who has also had to cancel his appearance at the Red Hot Summer concerts this weekend, has said he is hoping to make a ‘speedy recovery.’

He wrote: ‘Good morning, I unfortunately and regrettably have had to cancel this week’s shows due to illness and sudden admission into Hospital.

‘I am disappointed that I won’t be able to perform at the Australian Open Tennis tonight nor the Mornington Peninsula RHST shows this weekend.’

‘I am hoping to make a speedy recovery and be back doing shows very soon.’

Daryl was scheduled to perform at both shows at the Mornington Peninsula this weekend as part of the Red Hot Summer Tour.

The event has wish Daryl ‘the very best’ in a statement on their Facebook page and expects to see him back in form for the Ballarat concert on January 28.
