Sydney’s northern beaches are home to an array of architecturally impressive houses, but it certainly doesn’t get much more impressive than this phallic-shaped home.
The not-so-humble abode – known as Buckingham Phallus – is close to Browns Bay and is certainly an eye-full; the tongue-in-cheek layout was designed in 1958 by Stan Symonds and is seriously packing.
Oh, and the four-bed, two-bath property is for sale! Get stuck in.
“The floorplan is something you don’t see every day but it works well with the rest of the house, which is generous in size,” Belle Property Mona Vale’s Stephen Allen told news.com.au.
“It’s very, very interesting.”
You can say that again, Stephen.
The house is back on the market 14 months after it sold for $1.35 million; maybe it was too much for the owners to handle?
“Most people are going to say it’s a bit quirky for them, I can see that coming from families in particular,” Allen continued.
“It’s ideally going to suit small families or first-home buyers.”
Do you reckon they’ve erected the For Sale sign yet?
