The late Star Wars actor Carrie Fisher has been cremated in a private ceremony ahead of a memorial service tomorrow.

Fisher, 60, passed away after suffering a massive heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles.

Tragically her mother Debbie Reynolds died just 24 hours later after suffering a stoke.

It’s believed that some of Fisher’s ashes will be buried alongside her mother when she is laid to rest at Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills tomorrow.

TMZ reports Fisher’s will stated she wished to be cremated, but Reynolds, 84, wanted to be buried.

As well as the private memorial for friends and family, a public service is planned for a later date.

Meryl Streep will apparently speak at the tribute.

Meantime Disney executives are deciding how to handle Fishers sudden passing in relation to the upcoming Star Wars films.

Fisher’s character Princess Leia was expected to take on a more significant role in Episode VIII (due Dec. 15) and Episode IX (2019) than she did in The Force Awakens.

Fisher’s death has hit the production team hard and they want to honor her contribution in an appropriate manner.
