Carrie Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, has spoken out for the first time following the heartbreaking deaths of her Mother and Grandmother.
Billie’s mother, Carrie Fisher, died in hospital on December 27 after suffering a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles four days earlier. Tragically, Billie’s Grandmother, actress Debbie Reynolds, died from a suspected stroke, aged 84, just a day after Carrie’s death.
Billie, 24, lost both her mother and grandmother in the space of less than 48 hours.
The “Scream Queens” actress took to Instagram today to share a beautiful photo of herself as a child with her mum and grandma, along with a message to her fans.
“Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist,” Lourd wrote.
“There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me.”
Just five hours after posting this heartfelt message on Instagram, Billie has already received nearly 10,000 comments of support from loving fans around the world.
Their family has confirmed the two stars will be buried together at a joint funeral.
