A former Big Brother contestant has found herself in some serious hot water following her racist remarks on social media.
Skye Wheatley, who appeared on Big Brother in 2014, said she wished she was a ‘naturally tanned Aboriginal.’
The comment was said during one of the 22-year-old blonde beauty’s makeup tutorials posted on YouTube.
“Just a little disclaimer: My hands will probably annoy the F out of some people while watching this,” she said of her ‘streaky hands’ caused by fake fan application. “I apologise. I’m not a naturally tanned Aboriginal. I wish I was. But unfortunately I’m not.”
Skye then defended her comment, telling viewers she did not mean for the comments to sound racist, but then continued…
“Was that racist? I’m not a racist person, like, I actually dated an Aboriginal guy and I wish that I had Aboriginal in my blood or just some type of anything that makes you brown,” she went on.
The video has since been deleted, but before it was taken down, viewers expressed their outrage, slamming Skye’s remarks as ‘disrespectful.’
Skye recently made headlines after she appeared on social media, looking almost unrecognisable from her former self, following numerous cosmetic surgery procedures, including a boob job, nose reconstruction and lip fillers.
