Beyonce’s music video Ghost has inspired the design of a new skyscraper to be built in Melbourne.
Australian architecture firm Elenberg Fraser have won planning approval for the 226-metre-high building which will have a series of curves inspired by the singer’s 2013 video.
“For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic we’re going to trust you’ve seen the music video for Beyonce’s Ghost,” Elenberg Fraser said.
In the video, Beyonce and her dancers wear skintight fabrics that cling to their curves while in other scenes a more fluid fabric floats around their bodies.
The building, known as the Premier Tower, will be built to 68-storeys on 134 Spencer Street in Melbourne and will house apartments and a hotel.
