After 4 years of on-again, off-again dating, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd have called it quits, ‘officially’, according to E! News.
A source told the publication that “Bella and Abel have split”, likely due to distance, as they “haven’t spent quality time together in months.”
The source said that as the couple gear up for their respective commitments, the travelling schedules and separation caused tension for the couple. “Bella is prepping for her fashion week commitments and Abel is working on his music and his upcoming acting debut.”
Despite them both travelling all over the USA constantly, the source said their schedules hadn’t been able to line up for months, resulting in the couple practically doing in circles around each other, ending up in the same cities at “opposite times”.
The couple first got together in 2015, before their first separation in November 2016. After seeing other people through 2017, they first officially got back together in July 2018, according to Elle. Soon after, in October, the couple moved in together at The Weeknd’s New York Condo, and Us Weekly reported that the couple were close to getting engaged.
Despite once being very active at sharing their romance on Instagram, The Weeknd recently deleted his Instagram account, though E!’s source did not comment on whether this was related to his relationship with Hadid.
The most recent photo of the couple from Bella’s Instagram came back in March, of the couple travelling together.
Could this actually be the end for the couple, or is this just the next “off-again” before they get back together? History might show they aren’t quite done yet.
