Talking to the Daily Mail, Patrick Couderc, an independent distributer of Herver Leger in London, has said some VERY concerning comments about the bandage dresses.

Firstly, Couderc suggested that ‘voluptuous’ women and women with ‘very prominent hips and a very flat chest’ should steer clear of the bandage dress look.

He then went on to say that older women who insisted on ‘displaying everything like you’re 23’ sometimes don’t dress appropriately. (Hint – don’t wear this dress if you’re over 23)

Furthermore Couderc said “If you’re a committed lesbian and you are wearing trousers all your life, you won’t want to buy a Leger dress. Lesbians would want to be rather butch and leisurely.”

The Herve Leger by Max Azria brand released the following statement in response to Couderc’s comments.

The statements made by Mr. Couderc are not a reflection of Herve Leger by Max Azria or MJH Fashion ideals or sentiments. The Herve Leger by Max Azria brand celebrates sensuality, glamour and femininity without discrimination.
