Step aside, Celine Dion; Ariana Grande and James Corden just gave you a good run for your money.
The ‘Late Late Show’ host and ‘God is a Woman’ singer turned one of the world’s most legendary films into a modern musical, acting out scenes from the movie (with the help of some pretty incredible tracks). And, let us assure you – it was perfect. But, what do you expect from two Broadway veterans?
The routine saw them performing 13 pop songs – including ‘Steal My Girl’ by One Direction and Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ – in five minutes. Oh, and don’t forget their beautiful rendition of the movie’s classic ‘theme’ song, ‘My Heart Will Go On’ to conclude the performance. Even while out of breath, Ariana delivered a near identical Celine-sounding performance before being joined by James.
Ariana Grande and James Cordon remake the soundtrack to Titanic with a medley of pop songs including:
•Ed Sheeran “Shape of You”
•Lady Gaga “Just Dance”
•Foo Fighters “Learn to Fly”
•Vanilla Ice “Ice Ice Baby”
•NSYNC “Bye Bye Bye”
•Celine Dion “My Heart Will Go On” pic.twitter.com/yJ8zrRyG7q— 𝐏𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐙𝐙𝐈® (@POPARAZZI_media) August 14, 2018
We know what you’re thinking – did they do the iconic “I’m flying, Jack” scene? Of course they did… while singing the Foo Fighters’ ‘Learn to Fly’. Ugh, perfection!
You can watch the full segment on Tenplay, meanwhile Ariana Grande will be back later in the week starring in Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
