If you were hoping to score yourself a bargain using your Napoleon Perdis gift certificate, then we’ve got some bad news for you.
Since going into voluntary administration, Napoleon Perdis will no longer be honouring gift vouchers.
The news comes just days after the Australian cosmetic company announced a massive sale on hundreds of their highly sought after products, following the makeup giant’s sudden decline.
Whether you have a complimentary makeup session or a monetary gift certificate, your voucher is now void.
Perth resident Laura Woolley told PerthNow that she had received a $75 voucher in December. After hearing the news of Napoleon Perdis going into administration, she attempted to use her voucher online.
The website declined the payment method, prompting Laura to try it in-store. She was told that the company was no longer accepting gift vouchers as payment, nor were they offering any refunds.
“It’s not right to take our money and then not give us the products,” she told the publication. “It’s frustrating to be in this situation.”
Disgruntled customers have taken to the company’s Facebook page to vent their anger and disappointment over the suspension of their gift cards.
NPHQ confirmed the void gift vouchers in a statement, noting that appointed administrators have denied gift vouchers and rewards vouchers from being honoured, with the process suspended both online and in-store.
“To our valued Customers; Your Gift Vouchers. As you may be aware, Napoleon Perdis has recently entered Voluntary Administration. We wish to advise Customers that unfortunately Gift Vouchers and Rewards Vouchers have been suspended at this time, both in-store and online. This is a decision taken by the appointed Administrators. We apologise for the inconvenience and will be sharing information as it becomes available on our Facebook page. Any further enquiries can be forwarded in writing to Worrells directly – firstname.lastname@example.org We do recommend that you hold on to your Gift Cards and we thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.”
All of Napoleon Perdis’ brand of makeup has been reduced, with some makeup kits dropping in price by over $50.
Perdis’ daughter Lianna’s line ‘Total Bae’ is also on sale.
