When Adele announced her first tour down under, it’s fair to say that Australians went into excitement overdrive.
The wildly popular 28-year-old is set to hit Aussie shores in February and March in 2017.
Due to ‘phenomenal demand’ Adele has announced an extra show in Sydney, has also sold out both shows at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium and has shows in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
So, roughly how much will Adele’s tour make?
According to SMH, by the time Adele leaves Australia in March next year, she will have generated income in excess of $35 MILLION.
The singer has sold more than 600K tickets nationally, with prices varying between $103 to the extravagant VIP package of $817.
According to SMH, a conservative guess, at an average ticket price of $437, would return $26 million. Adding to this sum, would be a considerable figure for merchandise.
Because let’s face it, it’s really hard to go to a show and refrain from buying a tee, a mug or even an extremely cute (but a little creepy) Adele ‘Sleep Mask’.
Another conservative estimate by SMH puts the anticipated merchandise returns comfortably in excess of $10 million.
Let’s face it, Adele is going to be worth every.single.bit of that whopping $35 MILLION that’s she is likely to make!
Laughing all the way to the bank…
