Joe Jonas On Why He Won’t Return To The Voice
The Jonas Brothers are all anyone can talk about lately here in Australia (that and MAFS for obvious reasons) and we don’t blame them.
It’s honestly fulfilled all of our childhood dreams that Nick, Joe and Kevin have reunited their boy band to release new music snd let’s be real, we have their debut single Sucker on repeat all the time now.
The boys joined Kyle and Jackie O this morning to chat about reforming their band, their upcoming documentary and of course what this means for their solo careers.

This is course led us to ask Joe Jonas why he made the decision to leave the Voice Australia.
Long before it was even rumoured that the Jonas Brothers might reunite, Joe appeared as one of the judges on The Voice Australia for one season and it’s fair to say that everyone Down Under approved of the international coach.
And so it certainly came as quite a surprise when it was revealed that Joe wouldn’t be returning for a second season of the hit talent show and would instead be replaced by Aussie singer Guy Sebastian.
At the time, it was rumoured that Joe chose not to return because he couldn’t handle all of the bickering between the other coaches, Boy George and Kelly Rowland.
But today, Joe told Kyle and Jackie O that this was far from the case and that the real reason was much simpler.
“Joe we’re sad to see you’re not coming back to The Voice this year,” said Kyle. “Now you’re not returning because of that bickering constantly between Kelly Rowland and Boy George right?”
“No, that was my favourite, are you kidding me?” Joe replied. “I miss that so much. That was my favourite thing to watch.”
Looks like Joe was grabbing his popcorn overtime they started fighting just like we were!

Well red chair... we had a great run. We even made it to the finals!! Feeling real sad about leaving you and wish you could come to the @dnce Europe shows with us 😢 I want to give a HUGE thank you to the amazing @rachaelrigg @thats_notmyname @thevoiceau team for an incredible season. Special shoutout to my fellow judges @boygeorgeofficial @deltagoodrem and @kellyrowland for showing me such a great time while I’ve been in Australia 🇦🇺 Proud of everyone who was a part of #TeamJoe this season!! @aydan_music @_sallyskelton @bensekali and @homegrown_music you guys were amazing to work with and I couldn't be more proud of all of you 💪🏽 THANK YOU!!!
Joe explained that he didn’t feel he could commit to The Voice while he and his brothers were restarting their band.
“But you know, it was just because we were starting up this year again as the brothers and I was just too busy,” he continued.
“I mean if you imagine, I’d be shooting right now in the middle of releasing a single so time wise it doesn’t really work out.”
This doesn’t mean that Joe’s forgotten about his Aussie Voice chums though! He told us that he still keeps in contact with everyone.
“But my heart is still with those guys, I speak to them quite often. I’m really excited to see what talent comes out of Australia and who does really well next year.”
Well we’re certainly sad to see you go Joe but we have to say, given us the Jonas Brothers Reunion is a VERY good compromise!
Plus we have no doubt Guy Sebastian will do a killer job filling in his shoes!
