Charlotte Explains Why She Broke Down About Gaz’ Baby

Seeing an ex move on with someone else can be tough at the best of times, but when it’s all happening in the media spotlight it can be much, much worse because it can feel like there’s no escape.

This is something that Charlotte Crosby knows extremely well after her on again, off again boyfriend from the reality show Geordie Shore not only moved on with his current girlfriend Emma McVey but the pair have also just had a baby together.

In the first episode of Char’s new reality show that’s all about delving deep into her personal life, she was filmed as she found out that Emma had just given birth to Gaz’ son back in January of this year.

And well, it’s safe to say that it was pretty difficult to watch as Charlotte broke down in tears on camera. Of course, after her time on Geordie Shore we’re fairly used to getting an exclusive glimpse into the emotional and vulnerable moments in her life, but this time was different.

Speaking with Kyle and Jackie O this morning about her new reality series, Charlotte explained why that moment affected her so much.

“In the first episode it shows you finding out about your ex Gaz and his child that he’s having,” said Jackie. “And it’s hard on you, what about that upset you the most?”

“Well it’s never nice seeing an ex boyfriend who you have such a history with moving on with that big stage of their life,” answered Charlotte. “Never mind throwing in the fact that I went through an ectopic pregnancy with him.”

Back in early 2016 Charlotte went through a devastating experience after falling pregnant with Gaz’s baby. Charlotte wasn’t even aware of the pregnancy until she experience pain and heavy bleeding and was rushed to hospital.

It was here that doctors realised she was suffering from an ectopic pregnancy, which occurs when a fertilised egg remains in the fallopian tube, meaning that a baby can’t develop and the mother’s health is left in danger.

“It just kind of brought back memories of all them awful feelings I had and experienced around that time,” continued Charlotte. “It was just a big mixture of things really.”

Good on you for staying strong Charlotte! You can watch The Charlotte Show on Wednesdays at 9pm on MTV.
