Woman Hit By Man In Road Rage Attack Has Also Been Charged

The other day, details of a horrendous road rage attack that resulted in a woman being brutally punched in the face by a man came to light at Lake Macquarie, north of Sydney.

Vision captured by another car’s dash cam showed a man approaching the woman outside her car and swiftly delivering a right hook that saw her almost fall to the floor.

That evening, the woman was identified as Bianca Lee Sams, a 21-year-old mother, when she was interviewed on television, reliving the harrowing events of the day.

However, further details emerged of the road rage showdown, and though we want to make it clear that violence is never, EVER accepted, whether it’s a man OR a woman, Miss Sams wasn’t as innocent in the situation as she made out on television.

This has been made evident in the charges that have now been made against her - five in total - including malicious damage, being armed with intent and intentionally throwing an object at a vehicle.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Wyong Local Court in September.

Equally and quite rightfully, the man involved in the attack was charged with assault as a result of the shocking footage.

The man, from Windermere Park, handed himself in to police on Wednesday morning after the dash cam footage went viral.

Police said he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and granted conditional bail. He is due to appear in Wyong Local Court on August 30.

Ms Sams, who previously boasted about 'taking the hit better than a man', claimed she had 'been through worse' and warned she 'don't back down to no one'.

'I don't back down to no one. I never have, never will... I've been through worse, so it is what it is,' she told Channel Nine's A Current Affair program.

'I had to do what I had to do to protect me and my mate and her son... He's a b**** in my eyes if he can hit a female.'

As to why she was throwing nails at the car?

Ms Sams said she threw objects at the man's car because he tried to run her vehicle off the road with a five-month-old baby inside.

'I just grabbed a set of nails from a nail gun, I started breaking them up and throwing them at his car, hoping he'd leave us alone. But he didn't, he just kept coming,' she said.
