Western Sydney Restaurant Workers Held At Gunpoint Overnight
A crime scene has been established at a restaurant in Sydney's west following an armed robbery overnight.
Staff told police that a man broke in through the back of the Canley Vale Road premises just before midnight, confronting a group of workers in the kitchen and showing one of them a gun that he was carrying in a bag.
The thief demanded money from the till and, after one of the staff members complied, fled the scene with a sum of cash.
An investigation has been launched into the robbery and anyone who may have information is urged to come forward.
The man is described as Caucasian, Mediterranean or Middle Eastern in appearance and is said to be about 170cm tall with a small build.
He's aged in his 30s and has "distinct lines or wrinkles" on his face.
