Third NRL Game Analysed For Match Fixing

The NRL is reportedly investigating a third game for match fixing.

Manly's round-seven loss to Parramatta from this season will also be looked into after $18,000 was placed on the game by one punter, according to the Seven Network.

The match is the second between the two sides believed to be investigated for fixing, with Manly's losses to the Eels and South Sydney also being looked into from last season.

The two teams will meet again on Friday night at Pirtek Stadium.

The NRL said on Friday it was continuing to cooperate with authorities in regards to the allegations.

"Our position has not changed ... we will take whatever action is necessary to protect our game," an NRL spokesman said.

"Anyone convicted of match fixing can expect to be banned for life but, at this stage, no one has been charged and we should avoid jumping to conclusions."

Parramatta scored three tries in the final 12 minutes of the round-seven clash to win 22-10.
