Police Investigate Emails Sent To Chris Dawson's Brother
Police are investigating threatening emails and phone calls made to alleged cold case killer Chris Dawson's brother and lawyer.
Chris Dawson's brother Peter Dawson and his lawyer Greg Walsh claim they have both been receiving 'threatening' and 'filthy' emails and phone calls from unidentified phone numbers.
Peter Dawson opened up to the Daily Telegraph about the obscene emails and phone calls his Sydney law-firm has been receiving.
"The language is obscene, it's absolutely disgusting," he revealed to the publication. "It's mostly what they are going to do… and that I should be included in jail."
Dawson, who is runs his own Criminal and Family Law-firm, defended Chris Dawson at two coronial inquests in 2001 and 2003, claiming that Lyn had simply just left her family.
Police have reportedly confirmed the report, saying they are investigating reports 'after a man received several threatening emails'.
The threatening emails and phone calls follow the arrest of Chris Dawson last week.
The cold case involving the mysterious disappearance of Lynette Dawson has gripped the nation and grew in momentum following the release of the critically-acclaimed podcast, The Teacher's Pet.
Chris Dawson, a one-time rugby league player, arrived in Sydney on Thursday morning after being extradited from Queensland. He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court, and will remain in custody until his next bail hearing on December 14.
