Teenage Girl Charged After School Yard Assault

A young teenage girl has been charged and will face court after allegedly assaulting another girl at a school on the NSW south coast earlier this week.

On Tuesday at around 1:40pm it was reported that a 13-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by another teenage girl at a school in Bega.

The victim suffered facial injuries and was taken to South East Regional Hospital in Bega. At around 4:50pm that day, the girl and her mother reported the incident to officers from South Coast Police District.

Following inquiries, a second 13-year-old girl was arrested at Bega Police Station. She was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

The young teenager has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear before a children’s court on Wednesday 18 July 2018.
