Sydney Airport Parking Lot On Fire In Mascot
A fire has erupted in the early hours of this morning at a carpark in Mascot in Sydney’s south.
The carpark in question is a valet, long term parking lot at the airport in Sydney on O’Riodan St.
Around 16 firefighters are currently on the scene fighting the blaze. When they arrived it’s reported that flames were coming out of the building.
The danger at the moment is the fuel risk from parked cars in the lot which are currently on fire.
Traffic diversions are in place through Mascot with northbound lanes closed on O’Riordan St at Ewan St. Drivers are being diverted via Robey St and Botany Rd.
Some bus services on Route 420 towards Eastgardens are also diverting asa from O’Riordan St via Seventh St, Robey St, Botany Rd & King St, with two stops being missed.

Traffic is currently quite heavy and is expected to worsen as firefighters continue to fight the blaze. Drivers are being advised to avoied the area if possible.
