Student throws impossible shot, gets class out of test
A student has become the class hero after getting his fellow classmates out of a test with one spectacular, impossible throw.
The lecturer at Ohio State University was demonstrating electron energy levels with a ball representing the electron, a student who was in the class on the lower floor explained on Reddit.
“He threw the ball up there [to the upper mezzanine level] at the beginning of lecture, and then talked for a bit. I think most people forgot about it until he told the person to throw it in the trashcan.”
S/o to Benny for making this shot and getting the entire lecture an automatic 100 on our first ochem quiz pic.twitter.com/nmYJ34DjdM— rachel brown ✧･ﾟ: * (@yo_rochelle) September 2, 2016
This is where a deal was apparently made.
It was originally reported that Vinny Forte (not Benny, as the tweet suggests), made the paper toss from the mezzanine level, guaranteeing everyone in attendance a perfect score on their first quiz.
However, the deal was clarified later on Reddit.
“The actual promise was that there would be no quiz, expecting that the shot would miss. Instead, he decided that we still had to take it, but it was based on participation.”
After hearing what was at stake, the person who was originally supposed to take the shot immediately handed the ball to Mr Forte.
“The hype and applause that followed was unreal,” they said.
