Seven Puppies Killed In Horrific House Fire
Seven puppies have been killed after a house fire broke out at a home in Sydney’s west. A man in his 50s was also hospitalised.
Emergency Services rushed to the fire on Michigan Road in Seven Hills at around 11:50pm on Friday. The sole male occupant of the home managed to escape and was taken to Blacktown Hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
However, a number of the man’s animals did not survive the blaze. Three adult dogs were saved but seven red setter puppies died in the blaze.
“There were some animals located in the property. Unfortunately some puppies were found deceased but the parents of the dogs were removed safely from the property,” said Fire and Rescue NSW’s Inspector Russell Johnson.
The fire is not believed to be suspicious but the cause is under investigation.
