Record-Breaking Sale Means Even More Bad News For Westies
A record-breaking house sale in Liverpool is further proof that property prices in the city's west show no signs of slowing.
The five-bedroom home on Almond Place in Casula sold for $500,000 over the reserve, going for $1.4 million at a 10 minute auction earlier this month.
McGrath Liverpool sales manager Glen Craigie told news.com.au that western Sydney suburb was fast becoming a real estate hot spot.
"Liverpool, throughout 2017, has been very consistent and it's still performing the best in the western suburbs," he said.
"The great thing about the Liverpool [area] is that you have the entry-level suburbs in the Green Valley area and the premium residential areas in West Hoxton and Casula."
According to Mr Craigie, property prices in Liverpool have risen up to 15 per cent in the last two years - news that won't be welcomed by first-time buyers hoping to get a foot on the ladder.
