Missing Esperance Couple Spotted At Tavern
A WA couple that have been missing for a week since leaving for a camping trip had been spotted at a tavern, police say.
Jeremy Sim, 41, and his wife Marama Sim, 38, were last seen by family on Tuesday, October 18 about 4am as they headed off from their home in Esperance.
About 3pm that same day, police say the couple were seen at the Lake King Tavern and have now adjusted their search to include an area north-west of the original search region between Esperance, Lake King, Norseman and Balladonia.
The vehicle, a 2002 gold-coloured Nissan Patrol (pictured), registration 02 ESP is also towing a box trailer.
"Concerns are held for their welfare as they have not contacted any family members since they left Esperance last Tuesday," a police spokeswoman told WAtoday.
"This is out-of-character as when they go camping they keep in touch with family."
It is not known where the couple were heading.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of the couple or their vehicle is asked to call police on 131 444.
