Body Of Missing Newport Boy Brody Hurst Found
Police have confirmed that the search for a missing teenager on Sydney’s Northern Beaches this morning has ended in tragedy.
The body of 15-year-old Brody Hurst has been discovered following a thorough search across the Newport area, according to NSW Police.
Police media told the KIIS newsroom that a body was discovered at about 9am this morning.
Earlier today the public was asked to assist in finding the Sydney teenager, who hadn’t been seen since 5:30pm on Thursday afternoon on Barrenjoey Road.
Brody’s parents said that the disappearance was out of character and his mother confirmed that his bike had been located nearby.
"Brody left his bright green pushbike at the northern end of the beach on the walking track near the sand yesterday early evening and hasn't come home," said Brody's mother Christeena Hurst.
Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this devastating time.
