Man Stabbed With Broken Glass Bottle In Penrith
A man is due to face court later today after he allegedly stabbed another man with a glass bottle in Sydney’s west yesterday.
Emergency Services found a man suffering stab wounds to his chest and shoulder at about 6:30pm on Sunday on Station Street in Penrith.
The 45-year-old man was taken to Westmead Hospital and is expected to undergo surgery.
Police believe that he was stabbed with a broken glass bottle following an altercation.
A crime scene was established by Nepean Police Area Command and inquiries into the incident have commenced.
A 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He has been refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court later today.
