Grave Concerns For Man Last Seen Dragged Screaming Into Car
There are serious concerns for the wellbeing of a man who hasn’t been seen since the weekend when he was spotted being dragged screaming into a car on Sydney’s south-west.
Witnesses have told police that they saw a man being forced into a dark-coloured hatchback by two men on Lakemba Street in Wiley Park at about 5am on Sunday morning.
The witnesses immediately called police as they noticed that the victim was screaming for help and struggling to free himself from his captors grasp. But when police arrived the man and the car were no where to be seen.
Officers were able to access CCTV footage showing the man stumbling down Lakemba Street before being forced into the car.
Police believe that he may have already been suffering injuries and may have had his hands bound together at this point.
No missing person reports have been filed in the area, however, police hold grave concerns for the man, who is described as being aged in his 20s or 30s, slim build and short dark hair, and of Mediterranean or Middle Easter appearance.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information about the man’s identity or about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
