'Drunk Driver' Smashes Car Windows In Road Rage Attack
Shocking footage has been released showing a man allegedly smashing car windows of a car and throwing wild punches after he allegedly caused a minor car collision.
The vision shows a 34-year-old man confronting a man known only as Salim, 20, and his friends, who were travelling in a blue hatchback on Sydney's Great Western Highway on Sunday afternoon.
The man, who was allegedly three times over the legal alcohol limit, is seen smashing the blue hatchback's front window with a car jack.
The alleged attacker is shown with blood on his fist, arms and mouth.
The 20-year-old and his friends claim they did nothing to provoke the incident.
Salim told 7News:
'Never seen anything like it in my life. It was like a movie,'
'He threw a couple of swings at me. He threw a jack at me,' Ahamed Malas said.
The 34-year-old man was arrested a short time later.
'When people take matters into their own hands, it can just exacerbate situations,' Inspector Karl Stone of Cumberland Police said.
'That behaviour isn't tolerable by any standards.'
