Burke Ramsey's New Lawsuit That Could See Him Pocket $750m
The brother of JonBenét Ramsey has filed a second lawsuit over a CBS television series which labelled him a killer.
Burke Ramsey has filed a $750 million lawsuit against CBS, a production company and seven consultants on the special which aired in September.
In the CBS special 'The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey' investigators concluded that a then 9-year-old Burke killed his sister by hitting her over the head with a flashlight.
Documents reveal Burke is suing for $250 million in compensatory damages and $500million in punitive damages for 'permanent damage to his reputation.'
It's the second lawsuit Burke has filed over the TV special. A month after the CBS show aired he filed a $150 million lawsuit against Dr. Werner Spitz who appeared as a crime expert in the program.
Attorneys for Dr. Spitz have applied to have the case thrown out of court on the grounds his comments are protected by the First Amendment.
