Man Set To Be Charged With Murder Of 35-Year-Old Hairdresser
The husband of a 35-year-old woman found dead in a Potts Point apartment is set to be charged with her murder.
Just after 6am today police discovered the body of a 35-year-old hairdresser in Sydney’s east. They were tipped off after the woman’s father, who lives in Iran, received what police say was a disturbing phone call from the victim’s husband.
Officers discovered a knife at a nearby waste dump that they will allege was used to stab the woman. Police will also allege the victim's 41 year-old-husband dumped the knife in a bin on the street before garbage collectors picked it up early this morning.
The suspect was taken into custody for questioning and it’s believed he will be charged with her murder later tonight.
Police revealed the couple had been living in Australia for the past four years on bridging visas.
There are reports neighbours heard a large argument late yesterday afternoon. Police are urging people to be more vigilant and report disturbances to police.
