Teenager Admits Guilt Over Crash That Killed Mother Of Two

A 15-year-old boy has admitted he is responsible for killing mother of two Nicole Tucker, who tragically died in a fiery crash last month on South Road.

In just his second appearance in the Youth Court, the teenager pleaded guilty to death by dangerous driving via a video link.

The teenager, who’s too young to hold a driver’s license, also admitted to driving a stolen ute at speeds in-excess-of 40km over the speed limit, driving unlicensed, injuring another person, Corinna Heywood, and failing to render assistance. He’s also confessed to breaching the conditions of his bail.

The court heard the ute was stolen from Morphett Vale and the teenager had filled the vehicle with stolen petrol from Noarlunga Centre.

Prosecutors have filed an application to have the teenager sentenced as an adult. This means he could face up to 15 years in prison.

Lawyers for his 17-year-old co-accused, who was a passenger in the ute at the time of the crash, asked for his case to be adjourned until police crash experts have filed a final report to the court about the incident.

Mrs Tucker's devastated family described her as someone who ”put everyone else first and herself a long way second.”

The teenagers have been remanded in custody and will face court in two weeks.
