You''ll Never Guess How Much Some Parents Give For Teeth!

Remember when you used to get $2 for a tooth falling out of your mouth as a kid?

Well, it’s not so cheap anymore!

According to a recent study of more than 1000 parents undertaken by Jack N’ Jill Kids, some mums are giving up to $40 per tooth.

That’s a 289% increase on what they were receiving when they were a child.

It has led to some parents slamming high paying parents, with one Mum saying " the palingFirst tooth was their age in money [a dollar for every year], and every tooth after that, a gold coin! $40 per tooth? That's $800 per child! Times that by 4 and I'd be up for $3200!"

Another said it should just be a ‘Gold coin! Seriously, this is crazy - then the kids talk and compare, and that opens a whole other can of worms. Parents need to wise up."

However, you should breathe a sigh of relief, as the current average is $2.62, meaning that it has stayed around the same, with most parents probably looking at $40 screaming.

According to the stats, it’s parents in New South Wales and Western Australia that are paling the most, with an average of $4.50. South Australia are at 1.93m with Victoria, Tasmania and Queenpayingeven less.

The survey was initiated when Jack N' Jill Kids was designing its new Toothkeeper product range and needed to know what size pocket would be needed to put the cash into.
