Wait, We Should Be Washing Our Pillows HOW Much?!
If you're ever struggling to get out of bed in the morning, just remember what we're about to say: If you're not washing your pillows every SIX MONTHS, you literally lying in filth.
Your poor face? Smushed up against thousands of bacteria and bed bugs.
Yeah, thought that'd get you up sharpish.
And that's on top of washing your sheets every seven days, mind; saliva, urine, fecal matter, genital fluids and even athlete's foot can transfer SO easily through your bed linen.
Don't fret, though, because it's a lot easier than you think to make sure your fluffy white head-cradlers stay as delightfully comfortable as they ever were.
Firstly, stick to washing them two at a time - so you're not overcrowding or unbalancing your machine - and make sure you're using one cup of washing powder, one cup of bleach, and the hottest setting on your washing machine.
If they're still coming out stained, literally rinse and repeat. And speaking of rinse, there's no harm putting them through an extra rinse and spin cycle, just to make sure everything that needs to be out is out.
Then, making sure they're laid flat, dry them outside in the sun; those warming rays will help with removing the last of any stains that may be hanging on and you'll have the added bonus of that fresh-from-the-garden smell when you lay your hard-working head on those lovely clean pillows later that night.
And then you can go back to wallowing in bed, guilt-free. Too easy!
