Two Aussies Have Invent New 'That Time Of The Month' Product
It’s something we all have to buy, every month.
It’s not exactly enjoyable but there is one man who is looking to change the way we approach our periods.
Melbourne based business partners Marcus and Jenny have made tampons that can be washed and re-used for years.
Called the Hannahpad, it is described as a ‘’cost-effective, washable pad made from 100 per cent organic cotton that can be used for two to three years. ‘’
The couple came up with the idea and have made a product that has a leak-proof coating and super absorbent cotton, which prevents any spillage.
The pads come in different sizes and are priced between $14.99 to $35.
While they may not be cheap, each one can last for three years, which means there would be a huge saving.
The owners of the business recommend rinsing the Hannahpad under cold water with their own micro-organism soap and leave it overnight, instead of putting it in the washing machine. Marcus added, "It's not a mainstream product. We need to be open about it and the worst contributors are men.
"[Men] need to change their mindset about periods because most men have a woman in their life like their mothers, sisters, wife or girlfriend."
