According To Science, Cheese Is The Key To A LONG Life

If you love your cheese, you’re pretty much like every other person on the planet.

It’s thought to be as addictive as smoking or drinking, and way more delicious than either of them. Unfortunately, it’s pretty much just a block of fat. DAMMIT! So NOT good for you to have on the reg.

HOWEVER, some good cheese news has just been bestowed upon us.

Researchers from the Texas A&M University have suggested that aged cheeses including brie, mozzarella, gouda, parmesan, and cheddar are good for the health of your liver and thus, they're key to long life.

They report that apparently aged cheeses naturally contain a compound called spermidine which is ‘able to prevent liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma, the most common type of liver cancer, developing by stopping damaged cells replicating.

However, there’s a catch - you'd have to have been eating a lot of cheese from a young age to be able to get the benefits.

BUT cheese also contains tonnes of sodium, which can cause high blood pressure and saturated fat, so perhaps an all-cheese diet isn’t the way to go… just yet.
