There’s no better way to ring in the Christmas spirit than some good ol’ family fun, and Sydney certainly delivers! 

With events all over the city, there’s something for everybody - big and small! 

1. CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY

Get pumped for the lighting of the Martin Place Christmas Tree by watching the city come alive with roaming entertainers, stage shows, choirs, lights, decorations and activations from 6:30pm!

Kids’ entertainers will be live on the streets to party with you, including Jimmy Giggle, Justine Clarke, Sam Moran, SplashDance and Nay Nay.

2. Canopy of lights

Discover a Christmas wonderland right in the heart of Sydney as you stroll along Pitt Street Mall underneath a canopy of suspended Christmas trees.

Featuring 94,000 LEDs, these Christmas light forest installation will make your late night shopping sparkle.

3. Sydney Christmas Children's Concert

Kick off your festive season at this free family-friendly children’s concert at Surry Hills, a two minute walk from Central.

Santa will make a special guest appearance, and the night will culminate in a glittering fireworks display. So, pack your picnic rug and get in early for the best spots.

Kids can enjoy craft activities, and play table tennis and giant Jenga with some Christmas elves.

4. Christmas in Green Square

For the first time ever the City of Sydney is transforming Green Square into a wonderland of Christmas fun – and you’re invited.

This special corner of Sydney will come alive with performances from Sam Moran, Sydney Philharmonia Choir, SplashDance, Ally Boom Boom & The Cool Bananas, DJ Peter Baecker, and the Glorious Sousaphonics.

Santa will be making a surprise visit to this festive event, culminating in an exhilarating fireworks display.

5. Rushcutters Bay Village Christmas concert

Kids will love joining their favourite entertainers as they sing and dance in the spirit of Sydney Christmas at this family-friendly event.

Hosted by The Listies with performances by Justine Clarke, Jimmy Giggle, Nay Nay, Ally Boom Boom & The Cool Bananas and Thirsty Merc. Kids can enjoy craft activities and table tennis and games with some Christmas elves! 

Santa will also be making a special visit to the kids and adults at this super festive event, which will conclude with a dazzling display of fireworks!
