We Just Realised How BRUTAL Love Island's Final Could Get

As we hurtle towards the end of the trash-tastic Love Island, we’re only just realising just how bananas this could really get for the winning couple.

But first, a super quick recap.

Three couples remain in the Spanish villa:

EDEN AND ERIN

This pair have been super solid since ‘coupling up’ as soon as they first locked eyes on each other in the very first episode.

But despite this couple feeling like favourites, a recent spike in nastiness and jealous ragey behaviour seem to have caused audiences to turn on them.

- Have they declared their love: Yes

GRANT AND TAYLA

After first being ‘coupled up’ with Cassidy, Grant decided he wanted to instead be with Tayla and, even after lying to both women about it, his relationship with Tayla seems to be genuinely loved up.

- Have they declared their love: Yes

JOSH AND AMELIA

This relationship may only be two weeks old, but in Love Island time Josh and Amelia are approaching their five-year anniversary.

Josh has been in the villa since the start, which has been less than a couple of months, but because Meals only rocked up a fortnight ago, it’s been a race against time to have the same impression as the other two ‘power’ couples.

- Have they declared their love: No

HOW THE WINNER IS DECIDED

Thing is, while we were engrossed with all the first-world drama that ridiculously good-looking people deal with, we forgot how the actual winner is decided.

And, the sick jerks that we are, we can’t heckin’ wait for what could potentially go down.

So, once the winning couple has been announced, they’ll each be handed an envelope.

One of those envelopes will contain the $50,000.

Whoever gets the cheque must right there and then decide if they’re going to split the cash with their partner, so $25K each, or keep the entire $50K for themselves, thus revealing that they were just playing the game all along.

GAHHHHHHHH

But, but, but, GET THIS.

The proof that public perception over Eden and Erin has changed? The odds.

We were super surprised to learn that, at $1.20, Grant and Tayla are leading the charge.

Even more weird, Josh and Amelia were, at $5, coming up as second-faves.

So, not only are Eden and Erin coming in third, but their odds are sitting at $10.

THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD.

Love Island finale, 8.30pm tonight on 9Go!
