You Are Going To Save Big With This Amazon News....

There's a new competitor in the Australian market after Amazon Australia surprised people with an update on the homepage of their website.

Confirming that they are very much on their way, plastered across the top of the site was a message reading “Amazon Marketplace is coming soon to Australia”.

The service allows third party sellers to set up shop alongside Amazon’s own products.

According to Fairfax Media, the company Founded by Jeff Bezos aims to bring Amazon Marketplace, and Amazon Prime Now to Aussie shoppers in the immediate future with plans to also offer Amazon Pantry and Amazon fresh in the next coming years.

“Amazon Web Services launched an Australian region in 2012, we launched a Kindle Store on Amazon.com.au in 2013, and we now have almost 1000 employees in the country,” Amazon said.

“The next step is to bring a retail offering to Australia, and we are making those plans now.”

“We are excited to bring thousands of new jobs to Australia, millions of dollars in additional investment, and to empower small Australian businesses through Amazon Marketplace.”

Business Insider speculates that these services could become available from as early as September this year.

The retail juggernaut is currently on the hunt for a 93,000 square meter warehouse to be used as the company’s fulfillment centre.

It hasn’t been confirmed which Aussie state the warehouse will be located.
