People Outraged Over Apple’s New Sneaky Battery Trick

There’s one thing you don’t want to do as a company and that’s upset your loyal customers. Well, Apple is under fire for a sneaky new update, which many believe is aimed at stifling complaints about the latest MacBook Pro’s battery life.

After receiving a barrage of complaints online, it seems rather than fixing the problem, many fans believe Apple has done its best to mask it.

Those who downloaded the newest version of macOS Sierra 10.12.2 this week, will know a vital feature is now missing. Apple has removed the time remaining estimate for the battery.

Before users could click on the battery icon to reveal how much longer the computer had before it needed to be charged.

The company said the feature was removed because it was inaccurate, but many believe its removal was done in an attempt to disguise how quickly the battery drains. Apple claims its batteries last for around 10 hours, a stat countless users deny.

But don't despair, if you’re desperate to work out your computer’s battery life there is a hack. You can simply go to the Activity Monitor app in the utilities folder. Phew!
