Where To See The Best Christmas Lights In Sydney
There are a lot of activities and traditions that come with the season of Christmas that make the holiday the jolly time that it is.
Putting up and decorating the christmas tree, baking themed food, watching christmas movies and of course heading out to look at christmas lights.
One of our favourite memories as a kid is jumping in the car or heading for a walk down the street to look at the gorgeous displays of colour and bright lights on the houses across Sydney.
But before you head wandering about this year in search of the biggest and best decorated houses, we’ve done the hard yards for you and compiled a list of some of the best places to go to look at the lights around our city.
Find the best christmas lights near you below or simply use our customised map!
According to Christmas Light Search, these are the four best houses in all of Sydney as voted by you!
5 Waratah Street, North Bondi
This magnificent light display in the Eastern Suburbs is decorated with approximately 7000 to 150000 lights and feature music, moving elements and even an English village display in the windows inside the house.
The lights are on from 7:30pm-10:30pm Monday to Thursday and will stay on until 11pm on Friday to Sunday nights. They are also raising money for the charity CareFlight at the display.
1 Elm Place, Constitution Hill
This Sydney residence pays homage to it’s location with their bright light display, including a harbour bridge and Sydney tower made out of Christmas lights.
Their house is lit from 8pm-11pm each night except for Christmas Eve which will have the lights stay on until 2am.
7 Mallee Street, Quakers Hill
This house in Quakers Hill is one step light away from going full Griswold. Their interactive display features music, moving elements, a nativity scene, roof display and even a walk in area.
This family is another one raising money for charity, this time for the Children’s hospital at Westmead. Their lights turn on from 7:30pm until 1:00am each night until the end of December.
136 Excelsior Avenue, Castle Hill
With over 10,000 lights throughout, this Castle Hill residence shines a bright light on the Hills district.
It not only features moving elements, tons of lights and a nativity scene but will also hold special events from 13 to 20 December including a sausage sizzle, lucky dips, a santa mailbox and more!
Their lights go on from 7:30pm until 11:30pm each night and will raise funds for 22Q Foundation Australia and New Zealand & Heart Kids NSW.
