Icecream For Dinner Diet Claims To Drop One Size In One Week

Most diets restrict you to either consuming next-to-nothing calories or tonnes of healthy food options like vegetables and lean protein.

But one diet craze, which claims you will drop ONE dress size (4.5 kilograms) in just ONE week, allows you to eat ice cream for dinner.

Yes you heard correctly… Ice cream, dinner and diet all in the one sentence.

The diet involves consuming a restrictive 1000 calories for three days of the week, and following a regular diet for the other four.

Think it sounds too good to be true? Well, it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted.

The diet, which has been around for years, was devised by leading US army dieticians specifically to help US soldiers shift weight quickly.

However, experts have warned that eating 1,000 calories three days a week is dangerous and extreme fad diets may force your body to hold onto fat stores when in starvation mode.

But apparently it’s popular with Los Angeles trainers and Hollywood stars.

Here’s what a typical day on the diet looks like:

BREAKFAST: 1 cup of coffee or tea (with caffeine), 1 slice of wholemeal toast, 2 tbsps of peanut butter, 1/2 grapefruit.

LUNCH: 1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice of toast, 1 cup of coffee or tea (with caffeine).

DINNER: 85g any type of meat, 1 cup green beans, 1/2 banana, 1 small apple, 1 cup vanilla ice cream. 

Personally, I am willing to try any diet that involves ice cream.
