Distraught Passengers Spot Snake Slithering On Plane
A man standing at the side appears to have jumped up from his seat in fear.
Indalecio Medina shared the video on Twitter with the comment: 'The Viper flying.... A unique experience in the flight 231 from Aeromexico.
The flight, which was travelling from Torreon to Mexico City, was given priority landing before the snake was dealt with animal control with no harm to passengers, the airline said.
Plenty of people have taken to Twitter to express their shock at the video.
One person jokingly tweeted the famous line from the Samuel L Jackson film but then added: 'My skin crawled'. Another said: 'It's worse than turbulance, crosswind, rain.'
A spokesman for Aeroméxico said: 'AeroMexico reports that today, on flight 231 from Torreón to Mexico City, a snake was detected inside the passenger cabin.
'Due to the presence of the animal and following security protocols, the flight was given priority to land at the AICM. Once it had landed, AICM personnel secured the reptile.
'The procedures carried out for this flight are currently being evaluated to determine how the animal entered the cabin and measures have been taken to avoid such incidents in the future.
'For Aeroméxico, the security of its passengers and crew is of the highest priority and it always works to meet the highest quality standards.'
